Learning Beyond Words
My Experience Using English in Communication Contexts

English can be a very confusing language to learn, but fortunately I was born in an English-speaking country, the United States of America, so my experience with English has been quite different from that of many other people.
For example, when I was still living in California, I didn't even know that Portugal existed. At the time, I only spoke English at school, at home with my family, and with people around me.
Since moving to Portugal, I have learned so much. I've learned the Portuguese language, discovered a lot about the country's culture, improved my reading skills, and gained many other experiences. However, the journey wasn't easy, and it took a lot of time and effort to adapt.
Even now, I'm still learning and improving every day. I hope you enjoyed reading my text!

When I lived in England, in a town called Rainham, I mostly spoke English with the people around me. However, I also had some friends who spoke Portuguese.
Nowadays, I still communicate with my friends in England, but not as much as I used to because I now live in a different country. That makes it a bit harder to stay in touch.
At the moment, I usually speak English during my English lessons. Even though I don't speak it as often as I did when I lived in England, I still enjoy using it whenever I have the chance.
