The defence of human rights is a collective responsibility and we should all join hands in helping it. Protecting a life means protecting the future and the life you protect today may save you tomorrow. For example, people like Martin King Jr. fought for equality when many were silent about it. They stood their ground to ensure that future generations would not have to suffer as they did. Human rights matter and should be a concern for all. If people like Martin Luther King Jr. had not sacrificed their lives to see that both, blacks and whites, should share the same privilege, many wouldn’t have the courage to advocate for equality today.
The world will not be a safe haven without activists or human rights defenders!
